  • Tids and Tads

More friends are getting married nowadays and it sure put me on some "pressure." I'm ok 98% of the time till someone passes me his/her wedding invitation and goes "When is your turn. Don't be too choosy la." Even my bosses asked me such questions and make a fuss that i am not mixing well with guys. This is totally exasperating.

Sometimes, i tend to think, am i just weird or do some girls outside think the same. I just feel that i have just started a new phase of life and i haven't even gotten used to it yet. I'm not too sure how things will go if i put another person into my already tight schedule. Sigh~ I want to go back to school. At least with or without a guy by your side doesnt really matter then...

On a different note, it seems like i will be staying in Kuantan for quite sometime. My "tenure" got extended till Dec 09. There are pros and cons to it. Good part, i will be able to spend more time in the chemical plant and get to learn more. Bad part, i will still be in Kuantan and this place isn't really appealing. Every night, you come back to an empty room and feel very much confined. During dinner time, you will be thinking, how good it is to taste Mum's cooking or how good it is to have some dinner companion. I do hope i won't end up a recluse at the end of my tenure in Kuantan. Pray for me peeps =)

  • A week off work

Hooray, I'm back in Miri for Hari Raya . I've to say Miri has changed a little since i left for KL last year (was back for one weekend in between). It's embarassing to say that i'm not too sure how to get from place to another place anymore. In fact, i have to depend on my fellow KL colleague, Hwei Hou, to take me around Miri. We spent the whole weekend going around Miri City, went to the Marina Bay (which is new to me) and hit the Club district (which i've never stepped foot on for the past 7 years). I felt so bad having Hwei Hou take me around when i'm supposed to be the host, but on the other hand, i couldnt deny the fact that he knows more about Miri than i do .

On another note, besides spending time with my family, i have to spend my week long leave studying for my mid year assessment. Sigh~. It's like back to school again but as long as i am at home, my happiness level is high .

    Study study study....

  • Staying healthy

I'm on the quest of living young and healthy. It's hard, and so often not, i tend to switch back to my old habits. Below is what i managed to attain for the last 3 months and what i am planning to do...

    1. Sleep - Bed time is at 10:45PM - 6:50AM. 8 hours of sleep is a must for me so like it or not, i need to be in bed before 11PM. But of coz, weekends a little different because i can wake up later .

    2. Food - I have to give up my favorite keropok. I know its unhealthy so im trying very hard to keep it out of my diet. Instead, i'm taking fruits to ease my craving for keropok. In fact, i try my best to have at least 3 types of fruits a day. Since i have to eat out everyday (which means unbalanced meals), i have no choice but to down myself regularly with vegetable juice. Vege juice taste yucky at first but im getting accustomed to it. Next to get rid is probably my addiction to tea. Ever since i started working, i have been drinking at least 3 cups of tea per day. Very bad. Need to change it to healthier alternatives, perhaps honey or oatmeal drinks.

    3. Exercise - I used to visit the gym followed by sauna every other day when i stayed in Hyatt. The hotel that i am staying now doesnt have a gym (something i can't accept) but they do have a pool. I'm planning to start doing some swimming every other day once i get myself a pair of goggles. Hopefully swimming can tone my body a little.

    4. Massages - A must for me. Can't live without a good massage after all the stress i accumulate at work. Once a month, i will have a nice spa massage followed by a facial treat . Bliss. Once in 3 months, i will go for the traditional chinese massage to "correct" my blood vessel. The pain i have to endure during this massage is mind blogging. My last two sessions landed me with bruises all over but the aftermate was great. I sleep great, less headaches and less leg muscle pain due to my highheels .

    5. Aromatherapy - My friends have been recommending me to indulge myself in aromatherapy. I've heard so much on the therapeutic benefits but am not sure where to get good essential oil. Perhaps i need to do more research on this area.

Let's hope i will be able to do all the above and make it my permanent habit .
